Privacy policy
Built for students, many of whom are minors.
Last updated June 2, 2026. This is a plain-language summary of how SAGE handles your data — not a substitute for the full legal terms.
For students under 18: we minimize what we collect, never sell your data, and let you (or a parent) export or delete everything at any time. Sign-in is protected with industry-standard encrypted authentication.
What we collect
The profile you choose to provide — academics, activities, identity and eligibility factors, writing samples, recommenders, and college list — plus basic account information from your sign-in provider. You decide how much to share, and you can mark topics as off-limits so they never appear in a draft.
How we use it
Your profile is the ground truth our agents read to find matches and draft in your voice. We use it only to operate SAGE for you. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your essays or voice samples to train third-party models.
How it's isolated
Every student's data is isolated at the database level — your pipeline, dossiers, and drafts are visible only to you. Shared reference data (the master list of scholarships) carries no personal information.
Your controls
You can export your full profile and all generated artifacts, delete individual items or your entire account, and set off-limits topics that the drafter will always respect. Deleting your account removes your private data.
